Newton Faulkner - Cambridge Corn Exchange

The Cambridge Corn Exchange is very quickly becoming a venue that I'm getting used to shooting at. As I only work 20 minutes away, it's really easy for me to get to after work and it's almost technically on my way home to Peterborough.

Last week I got to shoot Newton Faulkner for Darkus magazine. There were only two other photographers in the pit, which was great as I was shooting with my 50mm so it gave me plenty of room to stand back to get some space in the frame. My experience shooting at the Corn Exchange has been all good so far, and the security are always really lovely and helpful.

Here's a few shots from the night, you can see the full set on Flickr.

Pvris UK headline tour

Last weekend I got to shoot the Birmingham date of Pvris' first UK headline tour. I've shot them a few times now and the crowds just get bigger and bigger, in fact this gig was completely sold out.
I never get bored of shooting gigs, especially when they're bands you a fan of, and what made this one even better was that I went with some mates so after shooting we got to enjoy the rest of the gig.

The lighting was a little tricky for this one, but very different, a lot of back light and almost no front lighting.
Here's some of my fav shots...

D.I.D Band promo shoot

It's been four months since I took these photos back in early January, but I can finally reveal them! Birmingham band Escaping Vendetta took the decision to go through a bit of a change and with that came a new band, which has only just been announced, so everything has been kept under wraps since January.

These were taken on an unexpected, very, very cold and snowy day! Here's a few shots from the day. Check out Devil in Dorian on Facebook.

Professional Photo magazine

You might remember my blog from February about shooting a trend show at London Fashion Weekend with Canon. If not you can read it here.

I'm super excited to say that the new issue of Professional Photo is on sale now, and if you go buy a copy and turn to page 10 you can read my full experience of the event AND see my photos in print! I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've had my fashion photos printed in a major magazine, so it's a big deal for me!
