Olympus Magazine
At the beginning of the year I started a new job and I've only been there for just over two months, but I'm already extremely glad that I took the decision to make a change!
I've been given some great opportunites and one of those has been contributing to Olympus Magazine. It's FREE so there's no excuse for you to not go and have a look. It features some amazing images, awesome little features and competitions, and writing by me so make sure you check it out every month!
If you're an Olympus user who wants to be featured you can find contact details inside to send your work in!

Keepsnap Interview
A few weeks ago I was interviewed by the lovely guys at KeepSnap. As I'm sure you're well aware I'm not shooting as much as I used to, and being asked to talk about my work and what I've achieved reminded me of what I have done and shooting a little is much better than shooting nothing at all!

NME Awards 2014
I won the live category of the NME Photography awards!!!
I've been holding back on writing a blog about this from when I originally found out that I'd been shortlisted. In a way I didn't want to jinx anything...but having received confirmation emails and attending the awards, I definitely did win and I still can't believe it! It's so amazing to receive such recognition for my work and it's all very exciting!
This is my winning image, a shot I took of Taylor Jardine of We Are The In Crowd at Hit The Deck Nottingham in 2012.
Here's the printed mag with my image in (October 11th issue)
And my certificate...
and prize...
The awards have also been in the press elsewhere, here's a few links surrounding the event and also some that feature my photo!

Black Altar Apparel and Glorious Nightmare clothing with Leah Harris
Last month I got to shoot again with the very lovely Leah Harris. Leah had been sent some clothing to shoot for Black Altar Apparel and Glorious Nightmare who needed some look book style shots for their websites. For this shoot we were lucky enough to have some gorgeous sunshine (on a bank holiday as well) and shot at Cannock Chase. This is my second time shooting here and I really want to go exploring a little more to see what else the location has to offer.
After a bit of a trek and a discussion over my fear of possibly seeing a snake...we set up in one location and shot for Glorious Nightmare. The guys wanted some shots they could use for adverts and promos on their websites and also some shots for their Big Cartel.
Here's some of the results:
We then headed back the way we came for a change of sceneary for the shots for Black Altar Apparel.

Spend 2 hours at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham shooting some gorgeous photos for you to both treasure forever. Included in the price of the package is your entry into the gardens, so you can spend the rest of the day enjoying the gardens if you wish.

Eau De Mars Clothing
Towards the end of 2012 I started approaching clothing companies. I wanted to enhance my portfolio by adding some catalogue and lookbook shots for independent companies who I felt had good products and a good branding behind them.
One of the first companies who got back to me were Manchester based Eau DE Mars. Having only launched in 2010 the company has grown fast and so it was an exciting opportunity for me when the lovely Roland Martial said he'd love to have me involved.
Since first shooting for them back in November, myself and model Jen Hughes have shot a variety of products now featured on the site. Here's a selection of the shots we've took over the last 2 months.
