Eden Anastacia

I love shooting on location so when Eden Anastacia asked me to shoot her first look book for her recently launched blog I was excited to see what she had planned. Eden had put together a selection of outfits based on a festival theme and incorporating her own style. I LOVE what she came up with up!

Amber & Indigo - Rebelicious Magazine

Back at the beginning of February I headed back home to Birmingham to shoot some of the gorgeous pieces from the Amber & Indigo collection (all the way from Australia) with BethyKoo.

I've had to keep the photos from this shoot secret until the issue of Rebelicious Magazine that they were featured had been released, which is now! Here's a sneaky peak at the opener, but you can read the full issue here.

Big thanks to my amazing hair and make-up team Amy Murray and Heffy Wheeler.

I'll be posting more photos from the set at a later date!

Jawbreaker Clothing

Back in August I travelled up to Nottingham to photograph a selection of dresses from Jawbreaker Clothing. The location of the shoot was at The Pit studio, which I would highly recommend to any photographer who wants to shoot at a derelict location that's safe and legal to use!

While the rooms offer some amazing natural light, I still decided to use my off camera flashes set up on triggers.

A selection of images were published in the September issue of Rebelicious magazine which you can read online at http://issuu.com/rebeliciousmagazine/docs/rebelicious_issue25digi

Models: Halo Haynes and Lucie Hickling
MUA: Amy Murray
Hair: Curlgasm Hair
Clothing: Jawbreaker Clothing
Location: The Pit Studio

And here's a few extra images!

Frock N Roll - Escaping Vendetta

Escaping Vendetta are this month's band featured in Frock n Roll.

For this shoot I headed back home to Birmingham, to work with the lovely Klee Jane and Ren Byers. This shoot was so much fun, and we used the car park under Ren's flat to shoot in. I loved the yellow and blue sections in the car park and think the colours added a bit more vibrancy to the location. As I love my flashes and there was very little natural light I used 2 flashguns on stands, and rearranged the setups as I moved the girls.

A massive thank you to the amazing Disorder Boutique in Birmingham for lending the girls some t-shirts and dresses for this shoot. (First 8 images). The dresses are stunning! You can check out their store here.

Here's the shots and the feature in the latest issue of Rebelicious Magazine.

Frock 'n' Roll

At the end of 2013 I had some of my photographs of the lovely Scarlett Ward featured in Rebelicious Magazine, alongside an interview with myself, Scarlett and MUA Amy Murray. I'd wanted to submit to this magazine for a while, so I was mega excited when our set was selected to be featured.

After seeing the photos published, I wanted to get straight back out shooting to submit more. For a while I'd been wondering how I could combine my two main focuses within photography - music and fashion. And what better way than photographing female members of bands and getting them to talk about their style. Having suggested the idea of a feature to the awesome Dominique Marshall (editor and owner of Rebelicious) a few emails later and the idea of Frock 'n' Roll, a monthly featured was created.

So here it is my first Frock 'n' Roll feature for Rebelicious Magazine featuring one of the loveliest and most lively ladies I've worked with Jessica Calvesbert of Aurora...

As a special treat for the first feature, this month's Frock 'n' Roll also featured an interview that I did with Taylor Jardine of We Are The In Crowd...
(Note: the images in Taylor Jardine's feature were not taken by me.)

Look out for next month's issue of Rebelicious for my interview and shoot with Kayley Busby of Follow You Home!

The full set of photos from Jessica's shoot will soon be uploaded.

Rebelicious Magazine Feature

A few months ago I did a shoot with two lovely people that I love working with, Amy Murray and Scarlett Ward. None of these images had been seen until yesterday when we could finally announce that they were being used in the latest issue of Rebelicious Magazine!

I've been a big fan of Rebelicious Magazine since I first came across it and had always wanted to submit work to be featured. I'm still super excited that we got this feature and all had an interview featured as well.
The magazine is available to read for free online here and will be available for purchase very soon.

A massive thanks to Amy and Scarlett again for their work on this shoot and a big thanks to Dominique Marshall for featuring us!

Hard Times Clothing A/W Collection

Before moving to Peterborough I took some photographs for the release of Hard Times Clothing's new Autumn/Winter Collection. This shoot was crammed packed into just a couple of hours due to several of us getting stuck in traffic, one model not turning up and some very, very bad rain!

Nevertheless we pushed forward and got some pretty awesome shots, massive thanks to the guys and ladies for this one, Leah Harris, Scarlett Ward, Dale Ballinger and Joel Heywood.

Here's a few shots from the set.

Ina Circle with Student Speak

Last week I got to work with two of my awesome mates on behalf of Student Speak, Sian Judd and Dayna Farrington. Student Speak is a student run magazine/blog created for all students within Birmingham as part of Dayna's final year project towards her degree. As the magazine covers a wide variety of topics including fashion Dayna had decided to carry out an interview with the lovely Sian in her brand new shop Ina Circle (Oasis Market Birmingham) and I was asked to come along to get a few snaps of the shop.

Ina Circle is also owned by the lovely Katie Gilchrist and stocks not only vintage clothing but a heap of awesome branded clothing too. Here's a few shots I took and a little sneak peek into the shop.
