Vintage shoot with Tayyab

My first shoot of 2016 was with Tayyab, a model who I had previously met on a shoot I assisted on. As my portfolio lacks male models shooting with Tayyab was a great way to start 2016. I decided to go for a smart/casual vintage theme and thanks to Bethany Wine and the Sue Ryder Vintage store in Peterborough we had some amazing outfits to work with. All clothing and shoes pictured is from their store!

For this shoot I shot with my 50mm f/1.8 prime lens and had one off camera flash set up with a Lastolite Ezybox.

These final images were taken using only natural light...

Practical Photograpy Magazine Video Shoot

As part of my job at Practical Photography magazine I often get to go on shoots to get some behind the scenes shots and assist. Last week I headed out on a video shoot with deputy editor James Abbott. Our wonderful model for the day was Gemma Stafford, who it was lovely to finally meet as we've been talking to arrange a shoot together for a while! I was also lucky enough to have a bit of spare time to get some shots with Gemma.

Here's a quick behind the scenes shot that I took on my phone. You'll have to wait to see the rest!

Practical Photography - March Issue

Work is keeping me super busy and bookings are flying in, but here's a little something for now.
I've somehow managed to miss off the February issue of Practical Photography, but here's the March issue that's on sale now.

Here's a double page spread from the issue on flash modifies - I took all of the photographs for this one!
