Looking back on 2016

At the end of the year I think it's always good to look back and see what you've achieved over the last 12 months. While looking through my hard drives to find some of my favorite shots I actually came across gigs I'd actually forgotten that I'd shot! This year's highlights definitely include shooting the main stage at Leeds Festival, Slam Dunk Festival, shooting 2000 Trees festival for the first time and for gigs Biffy Clyro and Ellie Goulding are top of the list and have to be some of the shots I'm most proud of.

On the other side of things I started a new job at the beginning of 2016 and I feel like I've achieved so much already, from interviewing music photographer Ross Halfin, shooting at London Fashion weekend with Canon, testing out Nikon's D500 in Croatia and Olympus' OM-D E-M1 Mk II in Ronda, it's been amazing and I'm excited to see what 2017 holds.

More seriously, depending on how much of my blog you read, you'll know that I'm extremely lucky to have survived a car accident. Short story, it was the most scariest time of my life, I had to be cut out of my car and was housebound for over a month. I'm still suffering with pain now, but am trying to stay positive and not let it get me down. The reason I mention this is that this accident reminded me just how important it is to not worry about the little things and to push on and follow your dreams. I'm so lucky to have been surrounded by such supportive and loving family, friends and colleagues. So on that note one of my new years resolutions, as well as to shoot more is to worry less! But back to the main point of this blog, below is a selection of my favourite gig shots from 2016. Stay safe, inspired and see you in 2017!
