Floating Portrait

I've always wanted to attempt a floating portrait, but I'd never managed to arrange the right type of shoot to try one. Back in August I assisted on a shoot where a floating portrait was created, and then later saw the editing process and completed image. Seeing this process from start to finish made me want to try this even more, and it's such a simple technique that I decided to try and fit one in to an upcoming shoot.

Here is my very first attempt at a floating image, taken while photographing Flutterbydaisy designs.

  1. Very nicely done, Jemma! I love the arm extended upwards. Elegant and captivating. I like the contrast with the decaying backdrop too. Take care, Aaron
