Winter Shoot With Sophie

Sophie has been my neighbour for over 10 years, seeing how she's grown up the past few years and how photogenic she's become I had to do a shoot with her. I let Sophie style herself for this shoot as I love her sense of style and wanted a more portrait feel to the shoot.

On planning a date we were lucky enough to have a bit of snow present for our shoot. We headed up to a park not far from where we live to take advantage of the winter setting.

Recently I've taken more to natural lighting, don't get me wrong I still love my flashes and bright/harsh lights but the last few shoots I've definately felt that natural lighting was more suited to what I wanted to get out of the shoot. I again chose to use natural lighting for this shoot as I felt it fitted better with the portrait shots I was going for and again fits with the winter setting.

Eau De Mars Clothing

Towards the end of 2012 I started approaching clothing companies. I wanted to enhance my portfolio by adding some catalogue and lookbook shots for independent companies who I felt had good products and a good branding behind them.

One of the first companies who got back to me were Manchester based Eau DE Mars. Having only launched in 2010 the company has grown fast and so it was an exciting opportunity for me when the lovely Roland Martial said he'd love to have me involved.

Since first shooting for them back in November, myself and model Jen Hughes have shot a variety of products now featured on the site. Here's a selection of the shots we've took over the last 2 months.

New Year New Blog!

If you read my blog before you'll know that I was terrible with keeping up to date with my posts. That's why I've decided to start a complete fresh and commit to it this time! So if you'd like to keep up to date with my photography, see a selection of images from each shoot and read a little bit more about the shoot then this is the place to be.

I'll be filling this blog up with the most recent shoots that I did at the end of 2012 and then take it from there with new shoots for this year.
